PFCLA IVF cost
Learn about PFCLA pre-cycle testing, ovulation-stimulating medications, cycle payments, outside labs, and shipping costs. Separate inclusions, pharmacy and external billing by individual plan.
Cost information
The PFCLA fee page states charges for pre-cycle tests, medications, IVF cycles, and outside lab and shipping fees, and does not list a uniform public total.
Pre-cycle inspection
The official website states that superbill can be provided to facilitate communication with the insurance party; payment is made when the inspection service is performed.
Medication
Medication inclusion depends on the item selected. If it is not included, you can purchase it from the pharmacy of your choice; some medication require specialist pharmacies.
Periodic cost
After the individual treatment plan is determined, the financial coordination team will issue a bill. The official website states that cycle fees are usually payable before starting fertility medication.
External inspection and transportation
External laboratory testing, sample packaging and transportation may be billed separately and should be distinguished from periodic operating fees.
From the initial consultation to the beginning of the cycle, when will payment be made?
| node | Official website payment instructions | Check items |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-cycle inspection | Payment is due when inspection services are performed, and superbill is available to discuss reimbursement with the insurance provider. | Project, amount, whether insurance can reimburse and supplementary materials. |
| After the plan is determined | The financial coordination team sends bills according to the selected schedule. | The scope of inclusion of personal eggs, donor eggs or other plans. |
| Before starting fertility medications | Periodic fees need to be paid in full according to the hospital's requirements. | Payment term and settlement method for plan adjustment and cancellation. |
| External detection and delivery | External laboratories may collect payment separately or settle with insurance; packaging and transportation are separately listed. | Whether the bill comes from the hospital, pharmacy, or outside testing party. |
Superbill is the cost information used to apply for claims from the insurance company, and does not mean that the insurance has approved reimbursement. Whether international patients have applicable insurance needs to be verified according to the individual policy.
Different projects cannot only compare one "period price"
The PFCLA fee page separately describes fertility preservation, egg freezing, embryo storage, frozen embryo transfer, and third-party IVF programs. The use of embryos or gestational carriers from other hospitals may increase the cost, and the cost estimate should correspond to the specific plan.
Whether the drug is included depends on the selected plan; if it is not included, you need to purchase it from the pharmacy separately, and some medication are provided by specialist pharmacies. Only by itemizing the medication, external testing, sample transportation and subsequent storage can you know which step is covered by this bill.
PFCLA International Patient FlowTravel & nonmedical costs
Air tickets, accommodation, transportation, translation and cross-border transportation are separately included in the non-medical budget. If you travel to the United States multiple times, prepare your itinerary separately for egg retrieval, transfer or other projects, rather than applying the expenses of one stay to the complete treatment.
